Chantlers Primary School

Pathways

Our recently opened, September 2024, Pathways is structured to meet the learning needs of up to 12 young people across 4-year groups, Reception to Year 3. All pupils placed in Pathways will have the primary area of need for SEMH within the four broad areas of SEND and be broadly in line with the national curriculum area.

Our Provision is as defined by Ofsted as:

Ofsted definition: Resourced Provision is for pupils who will spend more than half of their time in mainstream classes (with support), as opposed to SEN units, where pupils spend more than half their time in special classes.

It has a high level of staffing and is a nurturing environment which provides excellent opportunities to enable all students to maximise their learning potential.

Learning pathways may look different for each of our learners as they are bespoke to meet their individual needs, but all learning timetables are aspirational for our young people placed at the centre to enable them to engage in a high-quality learning offer.

Pathways will offer sensory experiences for those learners who need intervention to support self-regulation and they are well planned to suit the needs to the young people who are placed here.

We offer a supportive environment where learners become confident, sociable and independent learners. It is a place where individuals are celebrated.
