We believe that a close partnership between the school and parents is essential if we are to provide each child with every opportunity to realise their full potential. It is with this in mind that we continue to develop our parental engagement strategy.
We operate an open-door policy, where parents have the opportunity to speak to class teachers or a member of SLT on the playground each morning or after school.
Throughout the year we provide opportunities for feedback and engagement with our 'Meet and Greet' transition meetings where parents get to meet with their child's current teacher, together with their new teacher. In the summer term, we hold parent workshops and curriculum workshops in the Autumn term.
Parent View provides an opportunity for parents to let us know what they think about our school. It asks your opinion on several aspects of our school from leadership, teaching and behaviour.
Our daily communication method is through the Parent Hub app which parents can download. This enables the school to send reminders,up to date messages concerning activities and events in school and attach any letters or information.
We are delighted to announce our intention to establish a Parent Council in the summer term. The council will be made up of the Headteacher or senior leader and a parent from every class. Our main aim in establishing the parent council is to ensure the voice of parents is listened to and heard by the Leadership Team to ensure we are meeting the needs of all the children, parents and the community.
