We are committed to raising valuable funds for our school to enhance the education of our pupils and engage with the wider Chantlers family. We rely on our pupils, parents and our staff to raise funds for our school. We organise various events and activities throughout the year for both children and adults to enjoy as well as raise funds.
Here are the main events organised throughout the year...
Halloween Discos
We hold four separate discos, one each for Reception, KS1, LKS2 and UKS2 and are held in the school hall. The children love to dress up in Halloween fancy dress and for our younger children there are Halloween-themed activities and spooky dancing for them to take part in, as well as food and sweets. The older children have access to a tuck shop as part of their evening.
Christmas Fair and Activities
The main event at this time of year is our Christmas Fair which is held after school at the beginning of December. Our Christmas market starts the evening, where children showcase their amazing festive items, they have made for parents to purchase. Following with refreshments festive songs by each class. The evening finishes with our famous raffle draw.
Tea with Santa: Father Christmas holds his annual tea party in Santa’s Grotto where children listen to a Christmas story, have a festive snack and receive a Christmas gift.
Christmas in the Forest: Our older children can visit our forest school, which is festooned with sparkling Christmas lights, for hot chocolate and marshmallows around the fire pit, singing Christmas carols and songs. They take away a Christmas memento that they will make during their visit.
Winter Discos
The winter discos are held in the hall after school and follow the same format as the Halloween discos. Children love to dress up in their favou rite party clothes and take part in a fun evening of winter-themed activities, dancing and refreshments.
Easter Bingo
This is a fantastic event for both children and parents as they get the chance to win lots of chocolate in our amazing raffle.
Break the Rules Day
Our Break the Rules Day is one of the children’s favourite events as they get to choose which rules they would like to break, from colouring their hair to a 10 minute extra break.
Summer Festival
This is the highlight of our year, the festival begins after school with our craft market stalls, where parents can purchase the beautiful items made by the children. We have the ever -popular bottle and chocolate tombola’s, children’s games and a huge bouncy slide. This follows on with our outdoor disco and arts evening, where the children sing a class song. Throughout the event food and refreshments are available and subject to the weather and parents can picnic on the field. The evening finishes with the amazing ‘Raffle Prize’ draw.
