Our curriculum is clearly structured to ensure every child is developing their core skills, experiencing a broad and rich curriculum and doing so alongside building excellent personal, social and emotional skills. Our wider curriculum is delivered through our Excellent Learners and SMSC curriculum. This highlights learning for our children beyond the academic illustrating skills they need to be lifelong learners. Our children strive to reach their potential, aspire for greater depth and mastery, and are fearless in what they can achieve. We tailor our curriculum to ensure that children are not merely covering content, but are also achieving depth in their learning, which enables them to transfer their skills and understanding to all areas of the curriculum and beyond. One of our children summed up this attitude, which shines out throughout our school;
“Our learning is challenging but it allows everybody to achieve and improve.”
The curriculum also reflects the school’s location (as an urban Greater Manchester school) and the local community, as well as the interests and passions of the staff and children.
